At Congerstone Primary School we celebrate the unique qualities everybody brings to learning within our school.
Congerstone is a peaceful village in the heart of the Leicestershire Countryside on the doorstep of the National Forest. The Primary School was first opened in 1825 and has been enlarged and improved over the years.
The building looks out on to a field and playground, surrounded by open countryside.
At Congerstone we celebrate the unique qualities and ideas everybody brings to learning within our school.
Children become imaginative, independent and purposeful learners, motivated by a wide range of challenging opportunities within a stimulating school environment.
By inspiring a passion for learning, built on resilience and curiosity, children develophigh aspirations. Undeterred by challenge and unfamiliar context, they confidently take their place within an ever-changing world.
We value ourselves as unique individuals who are responsiblefor using our abilities, rights and opportunities to achieve our best.
We value and respecteverybody in school and recognise the need to work together in order to achieve a happy successful school.
We value our place within the wider community and take an active role within it.
We value our environment as a basis for life and a source of inspiration.
We understand we have a responsibility to promote a safe and sustainable environment.
The school is very proud of the partnership it has developed with parents. They are encouraged to take an active part in their children’s learning and are welcomed into school to help out in classes, assisting with educational visits and swimming.
There is an active Friends’ Association which raises funds and organises social and community events.
Partnership within these groups provide professional support for staff and activities for the children.
We are proud to collaborate and play an active part in three partnerships which all offer us slightly different things which we feel enhance the educational experiences for our children.
